In 2014, my oldest son, Chase, died in a drug-related wreck after struggling with addiction for a year and a half. I began speaking on drug prevention in 2016. Since 2018, I've volunteered to facilitate a peer support group for people who have an addicted child, spouse, or sibling.In 2020 I became a nationally certified family recovery coach. I'm currently a member of the State Advisory Board for NC Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
