Launched in the Spring of 2017, co-creative directors Daisy Hoppen and Amanda Borberg present a collection of classic and traditional wooden hand-fans, with a contemporary revival under the brand name, fern – fern fans. Made in Spain, and created from Birch wood and cotton the brand is inspired by the historical practices and mannerisms of using a fan. Long-time fan users Hoppen and Borberg hope to bring their both playful and practical use into modern day life.
