Geraldo Dos Santos - Painting, memory, nostalgic, mystically, childhood, melancholic, Geraldo Dos Santos (NL-BR) was born in Amsterdam, Nederland’s in 1993, he grew up internationally in different countries like Spain, Brazil and Peru. He studied at national art university of Lima Peru, where he came in contact with classical oil painting. He decided to go back to the Nederland to understand and learn about contemporary art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy where he graduated in Fine Arts department in July 2020.Geraldo Dos Santos work deals with the intimate past and focus on the relatable memories, and it does so in a narrative way (story telling). It depicts the emulsion of things that surround us. The subject of his paintings are personal and shared trajectories of living traumas that he had to embrace about his childhood towards adulthood.Opening and discovering a mind mapping subconscious-being by trigger melancholic mental-spaces that are connected to certain happening, emotion, moments and sentimental capitation.
