Kites is an indie-folk duo based out of Corbin, Kentucky. Best known for songs like "Home", "Hey You", & "Kentucky"; their 2014 debut Yellow EP reached #21 in the World on the iTunes Charts, released completely independently. Their follow up, Red EP - just 6 months later reached #40 -also by their own hands. The husband/wife combo of Jo Jo Stephens & Leah Hatmaker-Stephens is lauded for their live show: featuring harmonies, raw acoustic energy, and a pleasant juxtaposition of joyful lyrics accompanied with dark musical undertones.
