A homey, fun restaurant, Ritcey East just opened in Watertown. Owner Michaela Ritcey grew up in a restaurant family, her parents owned Ritcey’s Seafood kitchen in Waltham. They briefly operated another restaurant named Ritcey West across the street. As a tribute to both the name and her parents, Ritcey East was born. Ritcey East features comfort food that is all homemade and sourced locally as much as possible. There is something for everyone, from small plates, such as pretzel bites and adult hawt pockets, to shareables such as onion rings, wings, and even a black angus hot dog wrapped in bacon, beer cheese, and crispy onions, to name a few. Bigger things, as Ritcey calls them, include Burgers, sandwiches such as Kickin Chicken and Pulled Pork, a Fish Fry, Oodles of Noodles, and Ritcey’s version of the ultimate comfort food mac and cheese. Ritcey East has a full liquor license and a wine and beer selection that offers something for everyone. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the feel of a neighborhood spot where everyone knows your name and treats you like family.
