Shirley's Way

Shirley’s Way is a Louisville, Kentucky based 501c3 charitable organization. It was founded by Mike Mulrooney, son of Shirley Mulrooney after her death in 2013. The mission of Shirley’s Way is to raise money (via local events and donations) to help cancer patients with their everyday living expenses. Many friends and family members who visited Shirley prior to her death, often shared horrible stories about people they knew fighting cancer that were unable to afford basic expensesduring treatment. So her son Mike decided the goal of Shirley’s Way would be to help provide “the basics” including rent, or mortgage, utility bills, medicine and food to as many families as financially possible. Shirley’s Way depends on the generous donations of companies and individuals in the Kentuckiana area and is run by volunteers who have a passion for the mission because they have been affected by cancer in some way.
