Hello from David & Ai at YARN&COPPER!イギリス人アーティストのDavid Bateman(ディビッド ベイトマン)とAi Batemanのオリジナルプリントレーベル、YARN & COPPER。アーティストである、Davidのペインティング、イラスト、パターンとグラフィックを融合したユニークなデザインを、AIがスカーフやバッグ、ウェアなど、身近なものへとかたちにしていきます。わたしたちのプロダクトが環境にとって、また工場の方々など関わる人々にとって、’持続可能なもの作り’ということもブランドのテーマのひとつ。その取り組みの一環として、日本のすぐれた技術や素材を使いながら、もの作りをしています。リネンは近江（滋賀）、ウールは尾州（愛知）など、産地ごとに特色のある素材を、実際に足を運んで探して、顔が見えるお付き合いを大事にしています。またコットン素材は、シルクのような風合いでとても柔らかいフェアトレードのオーガニックコットン(bioRE / Swiss Cotton Organic) を使用。からだにも環境にも負荷をなるべくかけずに、毎日がアートに囲まれるような、そんなCOOLなアイテムを作っていきます。website: yarnandcopper.com/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////YARN & COPPER was established by British artist David Bateman and Ai Bateman.Ai has a background in fashion, traveling globally as a buyer.David graduated art college and has continued to be an artist.David’s artwork is inspired by popular culture and textures taken from urban environments, creating his own unique style.Most of our designs are a mixture of Illustration, painting, photography and graphics.All of these aspects make up the style of YARN&COPPER.All of our production is based in Japan.We would like to support local businesses, which we believe have their own unique skills and offer special techniques.Also we try to use environmentally friendly materials such as fair-trade organic cotton where we can.
