And despite the overwhelming odds stacked against us by adopting a completely democratic creation process, here it finally is.Zhirtz n Zkinz are the very best of buds. We play together in innumerable different projects, but this project is special. We all write tunes for the band, which we all memorize, and then hardly ever actually play. The gigs just as often consist of a handful of tiny thoughts and oblong versions of "My Bucket's Got a Hole in it" as they do of 45+ minutes of full throttle fire breathing.This, our debut recording, is equally unique. In July of 2012 we went on our first road trip together to record on location in Pownal, Maine, at the house of Will's brother Chuck and his wife Liz. After two and a half days of beautiful views, brews, lahb-stah, chickens stuffed with green peaches, and sonic collaboration with local avian life we walked away with upwards of 6 hours of recorded material. We trimmed it down a bit (you can thank us later). The sounds we chose for this recording are completely unique to the space and time in which they were recorded. This recording could not have been made any other way in any other place.Thanks for checking it out. We hope you dig the music.
