Refund policy
Effective 1 September 2026
We would rather you stayed because the data works than because a policy trapped you. This page says exactly which charges can be refunded, what disqualifies one, what is final, and how to ask: in numbers you can check against your own account before you write to us.
1. Your first paid subscription: 14 days
The first paid subscription an account or organisation takes out can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of that charge and the usage limits in section 2 have not been passed. This applies to monthly and yearly plans alike. It is one refund per organisation: a second subscription, or a return after a refund, is not covered.
Requests made more than 14 days after the charge are not eligible.
2. The usage limits
A charge is not refundable once the account has, in the period that charge paid for, exported more than 20% of the plan's monthly lead allowance, or used more than 50 contact enrichments.
On Starter that 20% is 4,000 exported leads, and on Pro it is 20,000. The enrichment limit is 50 on every plan and does not scale, because each enrichment is work done and paid for the moment you run it.
Both limits exist because exported rows and completed enrichments are the parts of the service that cannot be handed back: a search you ran costs you nothing to undo, but a CSV you downloaded is yours permanently. Below these limits you have evaluated the data; above them you have used it.
Everything else does not count. Running searches, building and saving filters, browsing all 99 fields and reviewing results do not affect a refund in any way.
3. If the service does not work
Separately from the above: if the service materially fails to do what this site says it does, and we cannot put it right within five working days of you telling us, we will refund the current period regardless of how much of it you have used or whether it was your first. A refund in these circumstances does not close your account. This is the only remedy for unavailability.
4. Lifetime plans: 14 days, no questions
A lifetime plan is a single payment rather than a subscription, and it carries its own promise: tell us within 14 days of the charge that it is not what you wanted, and we refund you in full. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask for one. The usage limits in section 2 do not apply to a lifetime refund.
The 14 days run from the date of the charge. After that the payment is final, which is the other half of a plan that never charges you again.
A refunded lifetime plan closes that entitlement: the account returns to the plan it was on before, and the lifetime offer cannot be re-purchased at the same price once its window has passed. This is not a penalty, it is simply what the offer was: a dated window, not a standing price.
5. Renewals are not refundable
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. A renewal charge is not refundable. To avoid one, cancel before the renewal date from your billing settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
We email you seven days before every renewal so a charge is never a surprise. Keeping that email address current, and cancelling a subscription you no longer use, is your responsibility.
6. What is final
Renewal charges. Any charge more than 14 days old. A first subscription that has passed the limits in section 2. Separately purchased credit packs. Enrichments that have run and rows that have been exported, which are spent whether or not the result was what you hoped for. Charges on an account closed for breaking the terms of service.
None of this removes a refund right the law gives you where you live and does not let you waive.
7. Disputing a charge with your bank
If you think a charge is wrong, email hi@myleadfox.com first. A person reads every message, and a genuine billing error is corrected and refunded to the original payment method without argument.
If you ask your bank to reverse a charge without contacting us, or a dispute is decided in our favour, the account is frozen while the dispute is open, the licence to any data exported in the disputed period ends, and we may set the costs the dispute caused us against anything we owe you. We do not charge a fee for a dispute. Our records of what was provisioned and used are the evidence we give the bank.
8. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the account is frozen at once and unfrozen the moment the payment goes through, with every balance exactly where you left it. No refund or credit is due for time spent frozen. Section 5 of the terms of service describes the freeze.
9. How to request a refund
Email hi@myleadfox.com from the address on your account and tell us which charge you would like refunded. There is no form and no self-service button: a person reads every request, checks the charge against sections 1, 2 and 4, and replies.
If the request qualifies we refund to the original payment method. Card refunds typically take five to ten working days to appear, which is your bank's timing rather than ours.
10. What happens to your account
When a refund is issued for a paid period, the account moves back to the Free Trial plan. We do not delete your account or your saved work, so you can return later without starting again.
The licence to use data you exported during a refunded period ends with the refund. Data exported during periods you have paid for and kept is unaffected: see section 8 of the terms of service.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy applies to every account from its effective date, and every account holder was told by email when it was published. The other legal documents are listed on the legal documents page. Questions about this policy can be sent to hi@myleadfox.com and a person will answer.
